Urs Shareef of Khwaja Saab and Saabir Paak (R.A)

It was during 1967, after receiving permission from Pir-O-Murshid, His Holiness Sheikhul Masaaikh Hazraat Ghulam Jilani Chisti Sabri Quddusi that the Sayed family started celebrating the First Annual Urs Sharief in Lenasia, of Hazrat Khwaja Gharibun Nawaaz Muinuddin Hassan Chisty Ajmery (R.A) and Hazrat Makhdoom Paak Sayed Alaauddin Ali Ahmed Saabir Kalyari (R.A). Allhamdullilah this year 2007 will be the 40Th Annual celebration of the Urs Shareef of these saints of Islam. Over the years various Peers, Aalims and prominent guests and Qawaals from various parts of the globe have attended this function hosted by the Sayed Family and members of Saaberie Chishty Society.

Urs Shareef of Hazrat Baba Fareedudin Gange Shakar (R.A)

After having personally participated in the Urs Shareef in Paak Patan in 1986, the Sayed Brothers once again requested his blessings from Pir-O-Murshid His Holiness Sheikhul Masaaikh Hazrat Ghulam Jilani Chisti Sabri Quddusi to celebrate the Urs Shareef of Hazrat Baba Fareedudin Gange Shakar (R.A). Since 1987 the celebration of the Urs Shareef has been taking place at the residence of the Sayed Brothers in 21 Dhalia Avenue Ext 2, Lenasia. This year 2007 will see the 20th annual Celebration of this Prominent Saint of Islam.

 
Eid Meelad-un-Nabi - Celebrating the birth of the Prophet (SAW)

The Saaberie Chishty Youth Society has always been a forerunner in the promotion of Meelad-un-Nabi (S.A.W). Not because it aims at promoting controversy, but because it abides by the age old belief that such functions are beneficial in promoting Islamic Awareness. The first Annual Meelad-un-Nabi (S.A.W) that was celebrated by the Organisation coincided with the opening of the Saaberie Chishty Musjid in Ext 6 Lenasia. This took place on the 3rd and 4th November 1990. Every year has seen it grow in size and is attended by Thousands of Muslims form Lenasia and people from other parts of the country. International and local Aalims participate in this Holy and Auspicious gathering, by rendering Qiraats, Naaths, and educating the masses in the form of Lecturing, all to refreshen the heart in remembrance of Allah’s final messenger, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (Sallal Laa Hu Alay Hi Was Sallam)

“Special Big Night Programmes”

Special Programmes are scheduled to take place at the Saaberie Chishty Musjid on Auspicious Nights including Shabe Baraat, Meraj, Ashura, Meelad and Gyarwin Shariff. Usually the programme commences after the Esha Sallah and starts of with by the recitation of a Yaseen Khatam, Qiraat, Zikar, Naath, and lectures followed by Sallami and Dua. In attendance are Guest speakers either locally or internationally. A humble request is made to all to participate in these activates. It will surely enhance your education about Islam and will be of benefit for you this year and in the year after.

 
Fund Raising Banquets

Annually the Saaberie Chishty Youth Society has 2 fund raising banquets. The banquets are held independently from each other to raise funds for that particular division. The first Banquet is the Ambulance banquet to raise funds for the running cost and maintenance of the Ambulance service. The second banquet held by the organisation is to raise funds for the Madressa because only 40% of the parents are in apposition to contribute towards (fees) running cost for the madressa. Shukar due to these fund raising events and generous sponsorships the organisation was able to continue their services. We appeal to you to please donate generously so that these activates can continue. Your contributions are vital for the ongoing survival of our services.
