QIRAAT
Qiraat programme held at the Saaberie Chishty Masjid
Extension 6 Lenasia, Gauteng South Africa on
Thursday night 26 April 2007 after Maghrib Salaah.
A group from Cape Town, South Africa "Nurush Shabaab
Jamaah" made their presence felt in Lenasia by
presenting themselves at the Saaberie Chishty Masjid
on Thursday night 26 April 2007 after Maghrib Salaah.
Hafez Muntaha Kenny chairman of the South African
National Qiraa'tul Quraan Competition informed the
congregation that the formation of the Nurush
Shabaab Jamaah is solely to rectify the recitation
of the Holy Quraan and implement rules of Tajweed
amongst our youth.
The programme commenced with a melodious recitation
by Hafez Qari Abdul Aziz Brown, South Africa's
number 1 Qiraat reciter who had achieved second
position in the international Qiraat competition
held in Malasia during 2006.
The
group then recited for the first time a group Qiraat,
wherin all five Qurras of Nurush Shabaab recited
simultaneously (in one voice) which was indeed very
inspiring.
