Saturday the 26th The
Saaberie Chishty Society and the
Sayed Brothers hosted their annual
Urs Shareef in honour of Hazrat Baba
Ganje Shakar (ra) at Gulistaane
Saabri situated on
21 Dahlia Avenue
Lenasia Ext 2. the turn out /
attendance of the public was
estimated far bigger than previous
years, meaning that the Devotees of
Hazrat Baba Fareed (ra) is
increasing in Lenasia and
surrounding areas.
 
The Programme
consisted of three sessions. The
first session was the Khatme
Khwaajigaan which was held
immediately after Asr Salaah, This
was then followed by a few devotees
praising Nabi (Sallalahu Alaihi
Wasallam) (Naat) and praising the
great saint of Paak Pattan Shareef
Hazrat Baba Fareed Ganje Shakar (ra).
After Salaatus Salaam and Dua
Salaatul Maghrib was led by Moulana
Sayed Yusuf.
A brief Qul
Shareef and Dua was made in the cook
yard and thereafter everyone was
served Langar (Supper). The
volunteers continued serving,
cleaning up and re-setting for many
rounds. The attendance of the
general public was excellent.
Everyone enjoyed the Langar.
Approximately 22 degs of Niaz (Food)
was cooked and distributed.
 
The Second
session of the programme commenced
at about 9:35pm. The Master of Ceremony Moulana Sayed Imraan Ziyaee
requested Moulana Dawood Barakaati
to make a special Dua for the
Marhumeen of the Sayed Brothers,
members of the Saabrie Chishty
Society and all Marhooms. This was
followed by a brief recitation of
the Holy Quraan (Qiraat) beautifully
recited by Qari Wajihuddeen. Qari
Zahid Ahmed Zahidi then melodiously
presented a Naat Shareef, followed
by Moulana Muhammed Ali Usman (Imaam
of Ghousia Masjid - Laudium) who
rendered two sweet kalaams (poems)
on the status of Hazrat Baba Fareed
(ra) and Hazrat Saabir Paak (ra).
The guest of
Honour Hazrat Allama Sayed Salmaan
Mia (Son-in-law of Ghaazi-e-Millat
Kachochvi - India) recited a few stanzas in praise
of Baba Saheb (ra) and delivered a
thought provoking discourse to the
gathering. This session was also
concluded with Salaatus Salaam and
Dua-e-Khair.
The Third session
of the programme’ Qawwaali / Samaa ’
began at approximately 11:45pm and lasted up till the early hours of
the next morning. Qawaali was
rendered by our three local artists.
Qamal Saabri and party was superb
and many were surprised at the fact
that night by night he is sounding
more like his late fater Marhoom
Omar Saabri. Janaab Azaad and Party
was second in line and they really
made the best of the time that was
allocated to them. The chief guest
artists Sayed Hajee (Moideen) and
Party kept the crowd spellbound
throughout the mehfil-e-Samaa. This
session concluded in the early hours
of Sunday morning.
 
In conclusion the
Saaberie Chishty Society wishes to
thank all those who had made this
programme a success and prays to
grow from strength to strength
