Saaberie Chishty Operation Winter Warm up 2010

The Saaberie Chishty Society once again came to the rescue of the needy and destitute communities in Lenasia and its surrounding areas. The purpose of this Operation is simply to make sure, all people are kept warm this winter. The Winter Warm Operation 2010 which was a tremendous success took place on Sunday 6th June 2010. The operation on Sunday morning commenced from 6am onwards with volunteers loading the Vans and Trucks with bundles of blankets ready for distribution. Thanks to the generous contributions made by the public and many sincere donors. Indeed they have all together made a difference to the lives of many, this winter. Saaberie Chishty with its overwhelming turnout of volunteers distributed far over 5000 (Five Thousand) Blankets and 4000 (Four Thousand) winter warm hats to those deserving and those in need of warmth. The Society distributed these blankets in various places to mention a few: Lenasia, Thembelihle, Vlakfontein, Lehae, Hospital Hills –South, Finetown, Lawley, Enerdale, Protea South, Soweto, Precast Ext.10, Wielers Farm, Eldorado Park, Klipspruit, Evaton, Poortjie, Narands Farm K43, Zwrbkom, Florida, Riverlea and Drieziek – Orange Farm. The Saaberie Chishty Society wishes to place on record their sincerest thanks and appreciation to each and everyone who contributed in which ever way. Be it financially or morally. A special thanks to all the volunteers who assisted. Volunteers ranged from children who were just a few years old to respected elderly people. You the community of Lenasia and its surrounding areas have made a difference. May the Almighty Allah (God) shower His blessings upon each of you. We rest assured that you will always assist the Saaberie Chishty Society in all their endeavors towards helping and supporting people who really deserve assistance.
