SAABERIE CHISHTY BURIAL SERVICE

“and hold fast all together by the rope which Allah (stretchers out for you) and be not divided amongst yourselves.”

- Al Quraan -

This 24-hour burial service, established in 1982, is dedicated to serving the Muslim community with dignity, care, and respect. While rooted in Lenasia, the Society provides its services across all areas of Johannesburg and throughout South Africa.

In addition to meeting the needs of the Muslim community in Lenasia and surrounding areas, the Society manages both national and international mayyits with professionalism and compassion.

We undertake all Muslim funerals across Johannesburg, including Lenasia, Lenasia South, Eldorado Park, Ennerdale, Klipspruit, Soweto, Robertsham, Ridgeway, Turfontein, Riverlea, Bosmont, Newclare, Orange Farm, Poortjie, and all surrounding informal settlements, as well as any location across South Africa where our services are required.

The Society also specialises in the repatriation of human remains, arranging transportation throughout Southern Africa and internationally, including Pakistan, India, Palestine, Iran, Bangladesh, Turkey, Egypt, and Dubai. We further assist with the importation of human remains into South Africa, ensuring all processes are handled efficiently and respectfully.

The Burial society handles in excess 40 burials monthly. Approximately 60% of burials are from destitute background and your generosity assists the society to assist them freely.
